William Ford Journeys has always been dedicated to nature and exploration. First introduced to Africa as a student at Brown University, our founder, William Holder, has since traveled widely across the continent and beyond, fueling a lifelong passion that has taken him to over 80 countries. His experiences range from heli-safaris in East Africa and superyacht expeditions in Papua New Guinea to orangutan conservation safaris in Indonesian Borneo.
True to our desire to stay ahead of the wilderness curve, we lead explorations into Chad, Gabon, São Tomé, and Eritrea. Our team's strength lies in our two professional guides—exploration specialists who have spent decades in some of the world's most untouched frontiers. They live and breathe the wilderness, adding immense depth to a team already brimming with knowledge.
We do not venture into these remote parts of Africa simply for the sake of it. On the contrary, every journey is designed to benefit the local communities and ecosystems we visit. For us, to explore is to engage, and to engage is to dedicate ourselves to the continent we know and love. We are pioneering a new era of luxury travel that prioritizes and showcases sustainability, championing this through collective action with our global partners.
William Ford Journeys acts as a catalyst for a network of individuals and organizations on the front lines of conservation. We provide crucial support in their fight to protect species and habitats through targeted donations, knowledge sharing, and by amplifying their stories to our global audience. We hope you will choose us as your partner in exploration.
